EKYL supports housing reforms in Ukraine

02.09.2018

New cooperation project “Support to Housing Sector Reforms in Ukraine” started in August 2018 with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia.

The goal of the project is to support the preparation and implementation of housing sector reforms in Ukraine in 2018-2020. The Estonian Union of Co-operative Housing Associations and project partners in Ukraine – State Specialised Financial Institution “State Fund for Support of Youth Housing Construction” and PU “Expert Interbranch Association of Ukraine” – develop in cooperation with UNECE housing experts a new professional standard for managers of apartment buildings; organize vocational training for apartment building managers and municipalities’ residential housing officials; and analyze Ukraine’s current and on preparation housing legislation.

The Geneva UN Charter Centre in Estonia was established in 2016 in Estonia in cooperation with UNECE and the Estonian Union of Co-operative Housing Associations. As Charter Centre EKYL has specialised in the development and organisation of training programs on housing management for local housing management associations in Estonia and in countries with economies-in-transition.
